‘Animalia’ by Graeme Base

This year celebrates 30 years since ‘Animalia’ was first published by Graeme Base in 1986 and I would have to say that it has stood the test of time on many library shelves.  It was unique and presented in a new and interesting way at the time – extremely popular with parents, teachers and children.

Animalia is really a work of art.  Each page represents one letter of the alphabet with a small accompanying verse – but there is much more to discover either alone or together.

This week I was lucky enough to win a miniature copy of ‘Animalia’ from Eastern Regional Libraries.  To celebrate the beginning of this blog I would like to gift forward this book to a new follower.  To win simply go to CONTACT ME on the home page and send me a message that includes who you would like to win it for and why – Good Luck !

I will announce the winner next Friday.
